The musician will appear as the character Lizzy Wizzy in the upcoming game
Teasers and details about CD Projekt Red’s upcoming video game, Cyberpunk 2077, have steadily trickled out ahead of its delayed November 19 release date, and the latest involves a look at Grimes’ character, Lizzy Wizzy.
Specifically, artwork for the character voiced by Grimes is pictured on the new cover of the “futurist publication” Cybr Magazine. This comes after the reveal of Keanu Reeves as a main character in the game back in 2019.
What looks like an earlier version of Lizzy Wizzy, or one that has been modified in-game, was previously shared by Grimes in a Twitter post at the end of last year.
During a livestream, Grimes also elaborated on the character (spoilers ahead), explaining: “I play a pop star who committed suicide on stage, and they had to quickly come and preform emergency surgery and replace her whole body with cybernetics while she was dead for an hour and then she finished the show as a cyborg. One of the greatest pieces of performance art ever made.”
“4ÆM”, a track from Grimes’ 2020 album Miss Anthropocene, will also feature in the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack, as announced during its debut performance at the 2019 Game Awards in Los Angeles.
