If you’ve had enough of earning money, remaking pop hits, and showing off your designer clothes, you can now – finally – fuck each other instead. Players with both a Nintendo Switch and a smart buttplug can spice up their dates by making each other’s sex toys vibrate. The revolutionary invention is the brainchild of Kyle Machulis, who founded Buttplug, a sex toy control project. In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Buttpluggin’ With qDot, Machulis shows players how they can reroute their game console vibrations to their buttplugs. So, whenever you do something in Animal Crossing that would trigger a console buzz – for example, chopping down a tree – you can get that vibration in your butt instead. As well as solo butt play, you can also make other people’s sex toys vibrate, giving you the chance to (kind of) have sex with your virtual date. To make the buttplug work, you or your date has to use a ‘pitfall’. Once a player has fallen into the pitfall, they must continually tap the ‘A’ button to get out, triggering a vibration every time they tap. This isn’t the first time things have heated up in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Since lockdown, players have been using the app for socially responsible Tinder dates, while sex workers currently out of business have been using the game to connect with their clients. 2020, baby.
