To mark the occasion, we’re celebrating all things UK Garage. From the music era’s distinctive label-obsessed style to an interview with Kano, check back here for more throughout the day. In celebration of today's release of Brandy & Coke, our channel 4-partnered production with Garage photographer and author Ewen Spencer in association with Some Such and Co, we are continuing the UKG rewind with an exclusive gallery of original flyers from Spencer's personal collection. Featuring classic promo from infamous nights like 'Twice As Nice', 'Pure Silk' and everyone's favourite haunt Bagleys, the rainbow wheel of genius designs are a testament to Garage's unique aesthetic blend of urban glamour. One of the founding fathers of the UKG scene MC Creed who also features in Brandy & Coke said, "What attracted me was the music – it was bumpy, soulful at the edge attitude-wise but it still had love written all over it". Spencer's flyer collection smacks of that attitude and love, encapsulating a golden era for style and music in London.
