Titled Crash, the much-anticipated follow-up to her lockdown record how i’m feeling now is set to arrive on March 18, 2022. As teased by the pop star earlier this week, the announcement is also accompanied by the new single “New Shapes”, featuring Caroline Polachek and Christine and the Queens. The two former collaborators will feature alongside an impressive list of artists and producers on Crash, also including Rina Sawayama, Oneohtrix Point Never, A. G. Cook, and The 1975’s George Daniel. “I was able to possess and persuade an incredible group of producers and collaborators to contribute to Crash by using my femme fatale powers and a multitude of dark spells and curses,” says the singer in a statement on the record. “They will all remain locked in my basement forever.” In September, Charli also shared the Crash single “Good Ones”, which marked the start of a new era characterised by “fame, glamour, inner demons” and, naturally, “ultimate pop music”.
