Kanye West teases new song ‘No Child Left Behind’ ahead of Donda release

The rapper has also revealed the album’s imminent release date in an ad with US athlete Sha’Carri Richardson

Ahead of Kanye West’s long-anticipated Donda listening party, scheduled to take place later this week, the rapper has shared a preview of a new song from the album, titled “No Child Left Behind”.

The minute-long snippet soundtracks a Beats ad — starring America’s fastest woman (and glam icon) Sha’Carri Richardson — and premiered during game six of the NBA finals. The song was also listed on the tracklist glimpsed in a recently-shared video of Kanye in the studio with Tyler, the Creator.

Earlier this week (July 19), Pusha T announced that Kanye is throwing a listening party for the new record in Atlanta on Thursday, July 22, at 8pm (or 1am on Friday morning in the UK).

According to an announcement by Beats, the album will also be officially released on Friday (July 23). Kanye initially announced the project in July 2020, saying that it was set to arrive later that month, on July 24. Prior to that, he’d released the Travis Scott-featuring song “Wash Us in the Blood”.

His last full-length record, meanwhile, was 2019’s Jesus Is King. Jesus Is Born, an LP of gospel music executive produced by the rapper, and performed by the Sunday Service Choir, followed on Christmas Day.
