Posted to Instagram by the rapper Consequence, the video shows Tyler nodding along as Kanye — in his now-customary full-face hooded look — plays a track. Unfortunately, there’s no sound, but judging from the rapper’s reaction the (presumably new) material is worth the wait. “Ye x Tyler. Epic Level,” writes Consequence in the caption. “Summer ‘21.” The clip is also notable because it features what appears to be a tracklist — including the previously-tweeted-then-deleted title track, named after his late mother — scrawled on a whiteboard between the two musicians. When Donda was first announced back in July 2020, Kanye claimed it was set to arrive later that month, on July 24. Needless to say, things went quiet after that, though a tracklist stated that the record would include the Travis Scott-featuring “Wash Us in the Blood”, as well as “New Body”, a track featuring Nicki Minaj. Tyler, the Creator and Kanye West have previously collaborated on several tracks, with the latter featuring on “Puppet”, a track from Tyler’s 2019 album Igor. Last month, Tyler, the Creator shared his sixth studio album, Call Me If You Get Lost, alongside a series of self-directed videos. Watch the new clip of the pair in the studio below.
