Enter Billie Eilish’s teen dream influencer house in the ‘Lost Cause’ video

The singer has dropped another new single from her forthcoming album, Happier Than Ever

Billie Eilish has just dropped her self-directed video for “Lost Cause”, the fourth single from her upcoming second album, Happier Than Ever.

Teased over the weekend, the clip sees the singer and a group of friends create their own influencer house – featuring all your fave sleepover activities. Think: Twister, snacks, and dancing on the balcony. Big Beyoncé7/11” energy.

The chorus goes: “You ain’t nothing but a lost cause / And this ain’t nothing like it once was / I know you think you’re such an outlaw / But you got no job.”

“Lost Cause” follows last month’s release of “Your Power”, which marked the first video in which Eilish rocked her newly-platinum blonde hair. Two other singles from Happier Than Ever were released last year, including “Therefore I Am” and “my future”.

Revealing the cover artwork for her sophomore album in April, Eilish wrote on Instagram: “This is my favorite thing I’ve ever created and I am so excited and nervous and EAGER for you to hear it. I can’t even tell you. I’ve never felt so much love for a project than I do for this one. Hope you feel what I feel. Alsoooo new song out Thursday at 9AM too!!”

Speaking on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in February, the artist revealed that she recorded the new album during lockdown. “I don’t think I would have made the same album, or even the album at all, if it weren’t for COVID,” she explained. “That doesn’t mean it’s about COVID at all, it’s just that, when things are different in your life, you’re different. That’s just how it is. So, I have to thank COVID for that, and that’s about it.”

In recent months, Eilish has also dropped a documentary charting her rapid rise to fame, titled The World’s A Little Blurry, as well as a photo book spanning her life and career.
