III, opens with a late night voicemail from a guy they term – in a recent performance of the song on Late Night with Seth Meyers – an “emotional vampire”. Who better to play the part, then, than Robert Pattinson (who, lest we forget, rose to fame as a sparkly-skinned vampire before starring in arthouse films such as The Lighthouse and Claire Denis’s High Life, and more recently The Devil All The Time)?
