The sisters have dropped another single, “Hallelujah”, once again accompanied by a Paul Thomas Anderson-directed video. The track sees the band reflect on how fortunate they are to have the love of family, friends, and each other. Discussing the song in a press release, Danielle Haim said: “We’ve always wanted to write a song about our bond as sisters.” In the pared-back video, HAIM can be seen singing softly in a dark, empty theatre, before heading out onto the streets of LA. Co-written with their friend and fellow musician Tobias Jesso Jr., “Hallelujah” was produced by long-term collaborators Ariel Rechtshaid and Rostam Batmanglij, as well as Danielle. The track is the third single released by HAIM since August, following “Summer Girl” and “Now I’m In It”, all of which have arrived with cinematic videos directed by Anderson. As well as working with the sisters, the director recently collaborated with Thom Yorke on Netflix short ANIMA, and is set to start work on a 70s high school drama early next year.
