Megan Thee Stallion has announced an upcoming virtual concert, which will take place as a paid livestream with no audience in attendance. The show will begin next Saturday (August 29) at 6pm ET (or 11pm UK time), and marks the rapper’s first headline performance since coronavirus bought touring to a halt early this year.
In case you missed it (lol) Megan followed up the March release of Suga with the recent Cardi B collab “WAP”, as well as a Beyoncé-featuring remix of “Savage”. She’s also tapped the choreographer JaQuel Knight – who notably worked on Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” video – to creative direct the new live show.
Access to the upcoming show will be provided by Live Nation, which suspended all IRL tours back in March. Tickets are available here.
Yesterday, Megan Thee Stallion took to social media to speak out about a July 12 incident in a car in the Hollywood Hills, which saw her shot in the foot and Tory Lanez arrested on a gun charge.
In the update via Instagram Live, she claims that Tory Lanez was the one that pulled the trigger, adding: “You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lyin’ and shit. Stop lyin’. Why lie?” Though she had talked about the incident since it happened, she had never previously identified a shooter.
