Cardi’s support came off the back of a video of Ocasio-Cortez – who, like Cardi, was born in the Bronx – dancing to the rapper’s hit “Bodak Yellow”. “She better run for president when she turns 35,” Cardi tweeted. The congresswoman responded to Cardi’s tweet, writing: “Women Against Patriarchy (WAP) 2020.” That’s not exactly a “no”, is it? Cardi’s “35” comment references the minimum age in which people are allowed to run for president in the United States. In 2018, Ocasio-Cortez she became the youngest woman ever elected to Congress. She is currently 30 years old, but would be 35 by the time of the 2024 presidential election.
