Visiting Stockholm back in July, he got into an altercation that led to him being held in jail for a month on accusations of assault. Actually, though, the rapper’s not wasting any time in getting back to the country (or the city), scheduling a return to play a single show at Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe on December 11. A portion of the proceeds from the tickets – which go on sale November 12 – will go to FARR, a Swedish “network of refugee support groups”. Though Rocky was eventually found guilty of assault for his part in the brawl that broke out between his team and men who allegedly harassed them on the street, he won’t face any danger of getting arrested on his return to Sweden. The sentence was conditional, not requiring a return to jail. The #JusticeForRocky campaign, which began after the arrest, gained support from Tyler, the Creator, Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, and more. Donald Trump also got involved, bizarrely, asking the Swedish prime minister to help sway the ruling (which is, for obvious reasons, illegal). Details that emerged about the President’s involvement later on make it pretty clear that the whole thing was a failed attempt to win black voters. Escape the algorithm!
