Joined by cellist Lucinda Chua and pianist Kelly Moran, the singer appeared dressed in a gown – which she removed halfway through in order to hypnotically pole-dance for the rest of the performance. Speaking about “cellophane” earlier this year, twigs said: “When I wrote ‘cellophane’ over a year ago a visual narrative came to me immediately, I knew I had to learn how to pole-dance to bring it to life, and so that’s what I did.” “cellophane” appears on twigs’ forthcoming second album MAGDALENE, which is set to land on November 8. She has also released the tracks “holy terrain” and “home with you” from the album. Watch the “cellophane” live performance below. Escape the algorithm!
