Music / Robyn guest editMusic / Robyn guest editRobyn is Dazed’s guest editor this weekCall your girlfriend – the Swedish pop innovator is spotlighting her favourite emerging artists, club nights, and poetry on DazedShareLink copied ✔️October 15, 2018October 15, 2018TextAimee Cliff We’ve missed Robyn. When she returned to the pop scene earlier this year, the Swedish pop icon did so aptly with a song titled “Missing U” – a song, she explained at the time, that’s about how you start seeing the ghost of someone everywhere once they’re gone. Similarly, in the eight years since Robyn last released an album, the shadow of her influence has been inescapable. She’s visible in the fembot aesthetics of artists like Charli XCX and Rina Sawayama; her tears-in-the-club, pulsating songwriting is a clear imprint on the music of Lorde. As she returns to the stage, she’s ready to celebrate. Earlier this summer, she threw a party at Pikes hotel in Ibiza, and Dazed was there to raise the roof with her, before sitting down for an in-depth exploration of what her new record means to her. Now we’re bringing the celebration online: this week, Robyn will be taking over the Dazed Digital site as our latest guest editor. Expect interviews with Robyn’s favourite emerging artists and designers, and a mix from a thrilling emerging Swedish producer. There will be a selection of Robyn’s favourite club nights, a deep dive into the production of her music, and an exclusive new film made in collaboration between Dazed and the pop innovator. Watch this space, and if you’re a Robyn stan with a burning question, tune into Dazed’s Instagram at 6pm GMT, when she’ll be answering all your messages in an AMA on our Instagram Stories.
