Issa Rae’s glowing smile lights up the screen in Drake’s newest video, “Nice For What”, which dropped on Friday (April 6).

The song itself celebrates the independent women in his life, “Workin' hard, girl, everything paid for / First, last phone bill, car note, cable”, but samples Lauryn Hill’s 1998 song, “Ex Factor”, which talks about how difficult it is to trust lovers who have hurt you.

Alongside Issa, the video features a beautiful medley of cameos from black actresses of the moment, including Tiffany Haddish (Girl's Trip), Tracee Ellis Ross (Black-ish), Yara Shahidi (Grown-ish), Rashida Jones and Black Panther breakout star Letitia Wright. Singer Syd and ballet dancer Misty Copeland also appear.

The video was directed by Karena Evans and the song produced by Canadian producer Murda Beatz. Watch below:
