We’re only a few weeks into 2018 and already we’re finding it hard to keep up with all the killer cuts coming out in the music world.

The first installment of our monthly playlist is led by Unknown Mortal Orchestra, who make a ripping, riff-heavy return with “American Guilt”. It’s followed by an industrial-strength call-to-arms from Alice Glass, a weird, warped, and wonderful new single from James Blake, and razor sharp rhythms from Congolese-Belgian musician Baloji.
