According to CNN, the rapper and designer left the UCLA Medical Centre yesterday (November 30) after a week-long stay at the facility. He had reportedly been under observation since November 22. The admittance followed a three-day stretch of erratic behaviour from the rapper. On November 18, he prompted boos from an audience in San Jose after announcing that he would have voted for Donald Trump in the recent US election. On November 21, he played three songs in Sacramento before stopping the show prematurely to give a lengthy speech on Facebook, Hillary Clinton, and Beyoncé. “A lot of people here tonight felt like they lost,” West told the crowd. “You know why? Because y’all been lied to. Google lied to you. Facebook lied to you. Radio lied to you.” He continued: “Sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forget who we are just to win. I’ve been sitting here to give y’all my truth even at the risk of my own life – even at the risk of my own success, my own career.” Reports claim that, later that evening, police were called to his home after reports of a disturbance. He was then admitted to hospital the next morning for his own “health and safety”. While West has yet to speak about his hospitalisation publicly, his mother-in-law Kris Jenner assured fans that he was “just really tired”. “He’s exhausted,” she told US TV show Extra. “He’s had a grueling tour and it’s been a grind so he just needs some rest.” Expand your creative community and connect with 15,000 creatives from around the world.READ MOREGrime MC JayaHadADream: ‘bell hooks changed my life’‘I fuck with them all’: How OsamaSon got his cult-like fanbase080 Barcelona Fashion080 Barcelona Fashion Week, these were your best momentsWhat went down at Kraków's Unsound Festival 2025‘He’s part of the fabric of my life’: Young Black fans remember D’Angelo InstagramHow to stay authentic online, according to Instagram Rings creatorsBloodz Boi: The humble godfather of Chinese underground rapA rare interview with POiSON GiRL FRiEND, dream pop’s future seerNigeria’s Blaqbonez is rapping to ‘beat his high score’Inside Erika de Casier’s shimmering R&B universe ‘Rap saved my life’: A hazy conversation with MIKE and Earl Sweatshirt7 essential albums by the Soulquarians
