Police are said to have attended the West Hollywood area and discovered a “medical emergency”, for which he was taken to hospital. West recently cancelled the remaining dates for his Saint Pablo tour. NBC News reports that he was taken to UCLA “for his own health and safety”. Conflicting reports as to why he was taken in are still rampant: The New York Times states that it was “exhaustion”, after West’s doctor called authorities due to concern, whereas TMZ reports he was hospitalised for “psychiatric examination”. The T.L.O.P artist and designer caused uproar last week when, during his San Jose concert, he told the crowd he would have voted for Donald Trump. His Sacramento performance was cut short; he arrived late, performed two tracks and made a speech criticising Jay-Z and Beyonce. His LA gig was cancelled hours before it started, and his remaining 21 tour dates were later announced as axed. No official comment has been made by West’s rep yet. Escape the algorithm!
