The clip follows a teary-eyed Jepsen and her equally torn-up pals in their bedrooms, in the office, and at a funeral — things cheer up by the end though, with everyone linking up for a big dance party. The video was shot by photographer Petra Collins and premiered via Rookie Mag. Rookie’s Tavi Gevinson makes an appearance in the video, as well campaigners Dounia and Mina. “Out of the blue, Petra reached out to ask if she could make a video for her favorite track from the album: ‘Boy Problems’,” Jepsen told Rookie, “What she didn’t know is that I had been following her online, via Instagram and other outlets, for a while and had become a HUGE fan of her photographs and artwork. I think she has a very gifted eye for a refreshing look at youth and beauty, and the way she plays with color always stands out to me.” Watch the video for “Boy Problems” below.
