Music / First LookPrincess Nokia – DragonsExclusive: The NYC underground artist's intimate Game of Thrones-inspired vid goes from the arcade to a steamy showerShareLink copied ✔️January 15, 2014MusicFirst LookText Briana Cheng After watching Game Of Thrones, Destiny Nicole (aka Princess Nokia, aka Wavy Spice) became obsessed with the chemistry between Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo which moved her to write a love song relating that to her personal relationship. The result is “Dragons", a drum and bass lullaby produced by NYC's OWWWLS (previously of her own "Versace Hottie" and Azealia Banks' "Atlantis"), with a flesh-heavy video starring her IRL boo, Wiki Morales of Ratking. The pair hang at an arcade/pizza shop in the Bronx before heading home to hang out in their undies, and then fool around with a 40oz in a steamy shower. Destiny explains that the clips throughout the video are a compilation of her favorite things: “I featured the band Kittie (an all girl metal band at my first concert), clips of Michiko Malandro (a Latina anime character that I resemble very much from Michiko & Hatchin), Dragonz Ball Z, X-Men, and Winx Club”. Her best friend Milah Libin directed the music video with her boyfriend, Arvid Logan – it’s all a bit of a love story. Escape the algorithm!
