Funk futurist Kindness and London-based band Splashh (of Luv Luv Luv Records, also home to Florence, Blood Orange, and Solange Knowles) will be supporting, alongside DJ sets from Leo Greenslade and Jack Savidge. Here we meet the guys behind Splashh to chat about living in pyjamas and racing vintage Ferraris. As you do. WHAT'S... ...special about you?We hail from all parts of the globe. Couldn't afford a flight so we snuck onto a cruise boat....the story behind your name?Splashh was our favourite water park when we were kids. Thought it fitted the music quite well.... your favourite sound at the moment?We're into all sounds that make us feel dizzy. There's never a particular one, but fuzzy warm stuff is always good....are you listening to now?Deerhunter: Rainwater Cassette Exchange EP / Smashing Pumpkins: "Today" (from Siamese Dream)....your worst fashion secret?Wearing pyjama pants out. They're heaps comfy and you can get away with it. Sasha's wearing some as we speak.How would you describe your sound?Heavy, dreamy melancholy with a bit of a feelgood vibe.Are you excited about playing with Primal Scream and Kim Gordon? What are you most looking forward to on the night?Yeah, it's going to be super! Primal Scream and Sonic Youth are two of our favourite bands – it will be an honour sharing a stage with them!Who is the biggest legend you respect the most?John Lennon – no doubt. He spells legend.What would be your dream legendary moment?Racing each other in vintage Ferraris at top speed on the autobahn. What's next?We're currently demoing and recording tracks in the lead up to our first LP.
