While Democratic nominee Joe Biden now looks set for victory, it’s been a very tight race across three crazy days. The drama proved too much for actor and activist Rose McGowan, who managed to break her arm while reading the results on the stairs. On Thursday the #MeToo campaigner shared a picture on Instagram of her in a Mexican hospital with a cast on her left arm. “Reading US election results while on the stairs = bone break,” she said in the caption. McGowan took the opportunity to criticise the dire state of healthcare in the US, adding: “It cost $250 in Mexico for my emergency room visit, compared to a likely $10k hospital bill in California for the same accident.” “USA is not the land of the free,” she said, “it’s the land of the overcharged. #BigPharma #USA 🇺🇸 #Mexico 🇲🇽 OUCH” In the comments, McGowan told her followers she was in Mexico because her father lived there for years. “It’s in my blood to stay in the heart centered land. I came here to heal my insides and it’s really helping.” However, she didn’t elaborate on the details of the accident or which result made her lose balance. Escape the algorithm!
