Harry Styles will star alongside Florence Pugh in Olivia Wilde’s new film

Shia LaBeouf dropped out of the role in Don’t Worry, Darling due to scheduling conflicts

Harry Styles has joined the cast of Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller Don’t Worry, Darling for his second feature film role, following up his debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk back in 2017.

The film will see Styles star across from Florence Pugh, in a role originally filled by Shia LaBeouf, who had to drop out of the project due to a scheduling conflict, according to Deadline. Suspiria’s Dakota Johnson was also announced as a member of the cast back in May this year.

As for the film itself, plot details remain relatively scarce, although we do know that the setting is a utopian community in the California desert during the 1950s, with Pugh taking on the role of a housewife who discovers something disturbing about her “perfect” life.

Don’t Worry, Darling is also Olivia Wilde’s follow-up to her directorial debut, 2019’s critically-acclaimed Booksmart, starring Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever.
