Presumably the Call Me By Your Name star, who is pictured sporting a pretty out-there bowl cut, ends the scene with a roll-up and a quick pint at the Haggerston (to the soundtrack of Reuben Dangoor’s “Being a Dickhead’s Cool”), but that’s just speculation, people. Described by its co-writer Joel Edgerton as “Game of Thrones meets Shakespeare”, the film (produced by Brad Pitt among others) sees Chalamet play a reluctant King Henry V as he transitions from rebellious prince to British monarch, navigating standard royal dilemmas like palace politics and war – you get the jist. Joining King Timmy is an absolute scream of a cast, which includes Robert Pattinson, who plays the Dauphin of Viennois, Lily-Rose Depp’s Catherine of Valois and Edgerton’s very own John Falstaff, an alcoholic knight who is also the king’s best friend and mentor. The King follows Chalabae’s standout performance as an addict and, well, beautiful boy, in teary drama Beautiful Boy, directed by Felix Van Groeningen. The 23-year-old will also star in Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, which is set for release next year. Cue the Oscars nominations, delete Hinge from your phone. Escape the algorithm!
