Awarded the Golden Lion for Best Film at the 2025 Venice Film Festival, filmmaking heavyweight Jim Jarmusch’s latest is a wry, intimate take on family ties. Watch the trailer now. Funny, tender and sharply observed, the film unpicks the quiet complexities of family life through a triptych of stories set across New Jersey, Dublin and Paris. Each chapter traces the shifting relationships between adult children, siblings and their distant parent(s)– capturing the friction and affection that lingers between them. Blending remarkable performances from a starry ensemble cast, including Adam Driver, Cate Blanchett, Indya Moore and Luka Sabbat, with Jarmusch’s idiosyncratic observations of everyday life, it serves as a reminder that you can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your family. Tickets are now on sale for the special release night screening at the Rio Cinema on Friday 10 April. Half-price tickets available for Dazed Club members (download the Dazed Club app for free here for iOS and here for Android). Doors open at 6pm, film starts at 6:30pm. You get a free drink and popcorn with your ticket, too. Can’t make it?
