Instead of copying the original campy sitcom, the Netflix reboot will be taking on a darker tone, in line with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Exorcist, and Rosemary’s Baby. The IG account, though, also shows there’s fun to be had – between the occult shrines and melting candles, there’s a hilarious witchy version of the #InMyFeelingsChallenge. Keeping the mystery with minimal posts, there are glimpses of the #CAOS world in the black and red-tinged Instagram grid. The feed is riddled with illustrations from the 2014 graphic novel – which the reboot is based on – and moody VSCO filtered pics of the cast, particularly the titular half-mortal/half-witch, played by Kiernan Shipka, and heartthrob boyfriend Harvey Kinkle, played by Ross Lynch. The Instagram Stories also show the cast having fun on set, including our favorite witch aunts, Aunt Zelda, and Aunt Hilda, inviting us inside the Spellman household/funeral home. Nothing like the original New England style home in the Melissa Joan Hart era, this gothic house, with its slate grey and blood red interiors, is reminiscent of the Addams’ family manor.
