She’s been meme’d, clipped, GIF’d, and posted across every corner of the web, and still the internet can’t get enough. From grainy stand-up night recordings on YouTube to indie film breakouts, Dazed Winter Issue cover star Rachel Sennott has left an impressive digital footprint. Here are some of her biggest moments.

HER ALIEN INVASION ADVICE

This one’s homegrown. In a viral clip from the Balenciaga FW24 show, Dazed asked the actress, “What would you do if there was an alien invasion?” Sennott replied, “I think I would just sort of, like, let it happen,” later adding, “If they’re coming in a chill way, I would be like, hello.” Setting a new standard for the aspiring nonchalant.

“TAKE THAT BETA BLOCKER, GIRL”

Another interview clip that quickly became internet canon. In a red-carpet interview, when Sennott was asked for the one affirmation she tells herself before leaving the house, she replied, “Take that beta blocker, girl. Swallow it down and lock in.” This girl knows her audience.

FATIMA

The mysterious lore of Fatima traces back to a singular tweet declaring that Sennott looked like she would be named Fatima, but “in a white way.” In a follow-up interview, Sennott leaned into the alter ego, although she acknowledged she had no idea what it meant. “I’m flattered,” she said, “I love nicknames, I feel good.”

THE “C’MON, IT’S LA” VIDEO

Before Sennott’s series I Love LA, there was the viral clip “C’mon, it’s LA” – a parody of the hollow scene in which she throws out lines like “If you haven’t got an eating disorder, get one, bitch” and “I’m addicted to drugs. We all are,” over Azealia Banks’ “212”.

A GRAVEYARD OF VIRAL TWEETS

At one point, Sennott had amassed hundreds of thousands of followers on X – then still called Twitter –  before deleting the account in 2023, as she discusses in her cover interview. Her hit Tweets laid the groundwork for the stand-up and scripts that would follow.

THE XCX IT‑GIRL MUSIC VIDEO CAMEO

Cementing her place as a reigning internet cool girl, Sennott appears alongside Julia Fox, Chloë Sevigny, Gabbriette, and more in Charli xcx’s “360” music video – a dinner-party-turned hot-girl crash-out.

HER STAND-UP CLIPS

Clips of Sennott’s stand-up sets surface constantly online: grainy videos of her on small stages, framed by tinsel streamers and a lone spotlight. Some are titled things like “The Worst Part of Sitting on a Guy’s Face,” while others are off-the-cuff snippets about the dating scene in New York.
