Every April in California’s Colorado Desert, a couple thousand celebs, plebs and influencers experience the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, pretty much the only music festival in the US that matters. And while the music is, of course, the main event, the world is also tuning in to see what everyone’s wearing. From its early Y2K years (the festival was founded in 1999), to the flower crowns of the 2010s and the Sheinchella of the influencer era, what people wear at Coachella has long been as much a source of intrigue as the music booming from the sound systems. This year, the stars on stage went all out with their style, and while there’s always going to be some duds in among the diamonds (I’m looking at you Young Thug and your multicoloured locs), this year, in the spirit of sportsmanship, we’ve decided to simply focus on the best dressed people… for now, that is. Wearing a custom Agent Provocateur pink vinyl trench and bright red underwear, Addison Rae brought her cabal of hot dancers to the main stage, continuing on in her mission to redesign the popstar as a beacon of noughties nostalgia. FKA twigs tapped NY designer GUVANCH for a custom feathered dress, PinkPantheress debuted a brand new pair of Ugg ballet slippers on stage as part of her deal as the new face of the brand, while Central Cee took to the stage in a custom ‘CAP’ hoodie from GAP. Elsewhere, Sabrina Carpenter enlisted Jonathan Anderson for not one but four bespoke Dior looks, while Sombr continued his ongoing relationship with Alessandro Michele at Valentino.
