Shot by longtime collaborators Mert & Marcus, the line-up reads like a roll call of all the OG Ver-sassy girls, including Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, Kristen McMenamy, Amber Valletta, and Natasha Poly. “Fearless and free”, the supers are captured wearing the duvet-like Meduse-plastered gowns, sexy, slinky, snatched tailoring, and hi-octane chainmail minis that featured heavily in Donatella’s last collection (AW25).They’re joined by a bunch of more recent Versace recruits, with Anok Yai and Mica Argañaraz also in the mix. Photography Mert & Marcus “The energy on this campaign was extraordinary. It was all about friendship, loyalty, and love,” said Donatella. “These images were created to celebrate the soul of the Versace woman. Her strength, her spirit, her attitude, and her heart.” It was announced that Donatella would be stepping down from her position at the helm of the company in March 2025, with Dario Vitale, formerly of Miu Miu named as her successor. A sale to the Prada Group was confirmed, with Miuccia’s company dropping a cool $1.25 billion on the house that Gianni and Donatella built. With Donatella taking on more of an ambassadorial role from here on out, she finished her campaign notes by confirming she’s excited to see what’s next for Versace. “This campaign is the story of Versace. Inspiring the present and anticipating the future.” Photography Mert & MarcusEscape the algorithm! Get The DropEmail address SIGN UP Get must-see stories direct to your inbox every weekday.
