Luis De Javier fans must be on the nice list this year because the designer has given them an early Christmas gift, a 15-minute short fashion film. Written by the designer and creative director Joel Palmer, the adrenaline-fuelled flick – Le Robó una Rosa – is a hot heist featuring Julia Fox, Yves Tumor, dominatrix and DJ Dangerous Rose, and leather-clad De Javierite citizens. A heady concoction of trippy visuals, motel romps, murder, and a thumping soundtrack – courtesy of Xavier Andrew – it’s exactly how you’d imagine the designer’s universe. As the scenes shift, De Javier’s wardrobe offers a provocative twist on heist gear – latex swimwear, ass-eating shorts, spiked platforms, and studded leather. The release of the film follows De Javier’s SS24 show, La Ruta – presented as part of LA Fashion Week last month. Featuring his signature horned corsets, barely-there bikinis, and lots more latex, the collection was created in collaboration with Riccardo Tisci who provided mentorship following his exit from Burberry last year. “What a fucking ride it has been,” De Javier said on Instagram. “I’m not sure how I’m ever going to repay you but I know that I will make you proud daddy Tisci. Your mentorship has been a gift from the heavens – now lets fuck shit up!” Watch Le Robó una Rosa below. Escape the algorithm!
