In fact, some people – ie Jourdan Dunn and Richie Shazam – were so committed to getting dressed that they somehow managed to turn up at the JW Anderson show with their designer jumpers snarled in coat hangers. Not everyone had that level of access, though: one attendee arrived at Fashion East encased in a series of cylindrical balloons as if they had entwined themselves in a pack of Richmond sausages. There was, of course, the traditional cabal of people loitering outside the Old Selfridges Hotel in colour-blocked suits and tiny sunglasses, and Princess Julia, who might as well bring her own fold-out chair to plonk on the front row at graduate design shows. And then there was Ashnikko, who spent most of the week slicing up the work of young designers and binding her body in whatever scraps remained, putting A$AP Nast, Griff, Beth Ditto, and Mahalia to shame in their full-look ensembles.
