@MOWALOLA_FashionNewsPSA: looks like Mowalola might be dropping thongs soonOkay j’needShareLink copied ✔️August 11, 2020FashionNewsTextEmma Elizabeth DavidsonMowalola SS20 If you follow Mowalola Ogunlesi on social media, chances are you’ll have seen the designer posting about her new website recently. Dropping her signature leather logo-embossed baguettes first, and then a bunch of t-shirts bearing her trippy, distorted monster-emblazoned tees (all of which sell out in minutes FYI), now it seems the designer is getting ready to debut a new item in the not-so-distant future: a thong. Taking to Twitter last night, Ogunlesi posted a picture of herself holding a white, tie-dyed thong in her outstretched hands. Finished with the recognisable ‘M’ that appears on a whole lot of her clothing, as well as a kinky zip to the rear, she accompanied the photo with a caption reading “Y’all want Thongs?” and unsurprisingly, people were pretty up for them. Aside from giving the people what they want, the designer has been getting settled in at Gap, where Kanye West appointed her design director of his upcoming Yeezy x Gap line, and dressing the whole Kardashian-West clan in custom Mowa looks. Though details of the project are few and far between for now, in the meantime West dropped a new pair of sneakers on Twitter and (surprise surprise!) they’re proving q divisive among followers. Check out Mowa's post below and revisit her SS20 show in the gallery above.
