Displaying some of Prada’s most iconic pieces, including handbags, shoes, and items from its collection, the show will be titled Prada. Front and Back and will aim to explore the future of Prada while also analysing its past. Tracing the history of the iconic house, the show will focus on how its leader, Miuccia Prada, transformed the brand into what it is today. Joining in the 70s, the Italian designer has elevated the house, resulting in it becoming a top feature at every fashion season. Quoted in the Evening Standard, the museums co-director, Deyan Sudjic, said: “For me, it’s a particularly personal challenge to work on the Prada exhibition – there is so much to explore about a company that never wants to do the obvious thing, and that is such a genuine cultural force.” The news follows the announcement that Prada will be teaming up with adidas on a new and hotly anticipated collaboration.
