Clare Waight Keller will present her first Givenchy men’s show in Florence

The designer has been announced as a guest on Pitti Uomo’s SS20 schedule, where she will present her first standalone menswear runway presentation

With fashion month wrapping up at the end of last week – with an eventful closing day featuring Karl Lagerfeld’s final Chanel collection – you might think you’d be getting a break before it all picks up again. Well, wrong. Ahead of the SS20 (yes, you read that correctly) menswear shows, Givenchy has announced it will be presenting in Florence, rather than Paris.

Announced as the guest designer at the next Pitti Uomo, Clare Waight Keller will debut her first standalone menswear show on June 12, after showing an intimate presentation, and lookbook styled by Dazed’s fashion and creative director Robbie Spencer, for AW19.

“January was almost like the first chapter in the book,” Waight Keller told WWD. “Pitti is the opportunity to take that step into a much broader collection, and that’s a big opportunity for me to really express what I want to do, and also just my more rounded vision of what I want for the Givenchy man.”
