Watch Luka Sabbat and Noah Dillon hang out at a Louis Vuitton show

The Hot Mess duo shot a not-so-typical fashion documentary at the Parisian house’s Cruise show in the French Riviera

It’s been a week since Nicolas Ghesquière showed his iconoclastic modernist collection in the French Riviera as part of the Louis Vuitton Cruise show. Filling an art gallery with over 600 guests, including Grace Coddington, Ruth Negga and Emma Stone, the Parisian house opted for sculptural silhouettes and 80s-style glamour when it came to their cruise collection.

Also in attendance was model and internet it-boy Luka Sabbat and photographer Noah Dillon, the founders of Hot Mess. Established in 2016, they describe the collaborative project as a “creative platform to produce anything we think is cool.”

Capturing their experience at the show in the raw and organic fashion that Hot Mess is known for, the duo now present a short documentary encapsulating Louis Vuitton’s celebration of eccentricity via gritty stills and low-fi lighting.

Bewildered by the beauty of the show, Sabbat and Dillon’s creative direction consists of cataloguing the moments around them, and allowing the situations to dictate the final outcome. “The casting and soundtrack of the show were unparalleled. The entire experience was fire and we learned a lot about the entire ethos of the brand. Experiencing LV during the cruise show proved how efficiently the company runs and what it takes to keep an iconic brand alive for over 100 years,” they explain.

Elsewhere, Dillon describes how the pair got lost the night before the show, with some other models. “We went out with friends one night in Monaco which ended with us not being able to get a car back to Cannes because of the Grand Prix,” he explains. “We ended up being separated and had to walk miles to the train station. We finally made it back noon the next day just a few hours before the cruise show. A very typical Hot Mess entry.”
