In anticipation, Fashion East and Topman have announced the trio of designers that will present their collections under its MAN initiative in January. Making his catwalk debut is Stefan Cooke, who has already had a pretty big year already starring in the autumn/winter 2017 issue of Dazed. Elsewhere, he was spotlighted in 1 Granary’s VOID exhibition as well as winning H&M’s 2018 design award. “It feels kind of unreal to join the MAN line-up,” the designer told us. “To be given this opportunity to show next to such great designers and have the support to fully achieve what I want is incredible.” Graduating from CSM earlier this year, the designer’s next collection will be an evolution from the MA, but “still carry the same kind of nostalgia and familiarity.” Returning for a second season at MAN to join Cooke are Art School and Rottingdean Bazaar. While both are comprised of design duos, they couldn’t be more different. While Art School’s queer celebration comprised of a finale soundtracked by the “Macarena” (yes really), the latter focused on elevating everyday items by casting them in rubber and foam. Congratulations to all three and we are looking forward to seeing what the AW18 show will hold in January.
