Since then, we’ve been sporadically teased with visuals of the actress’s campaign; including cryptic floral compositions and glossy, Karim Sadli-shot portraits. Now, the French fashion house has dropped some more substantial hints. In two 10-second videos (both directed by Johan Renck), we see the 16-year-old Depp in two very different scenarios. The first, shot in colour, shows the star coyly walking through a rundown Parisian apartment. The other, shot in black and white, features her holding a light bulb in a classic beauty shoot. Both clips are led by the enigmatic slogan “you know me and you don’t.” Depp – who has been praised by Chanel for her “youthful freshness and beauty” – was selected as the face of the house’s Pearl eyewear collection last July. She also starred in the brand’s casino-themed AW16 haute couture show, playing roulette alongside Kristen Stewart and Julianne Moore.
