The 17-year-old star’s mother, Vanessa Paradis is an ambassador for the brand – and has been for the past 25 years. Depp’s own relationship with the house began in 2014 when she met its creative director, the inimitable Karl Lagerfeld, on a shoot for V magazine. Since then, she’s featured in one of the brand’s eyewear campaigns and in its casino-themed AW15 haute couture show, playing roulette alongside Kristen Stewart and Julianne Moore. Around two months ago, it was revealed that the actor and model would be starring in another one of Chanel’s campaigns – this time, for its iconic No°5 L’EAU fragrance. She teased a couple of images from the ad via Instagram but today, has revealed the real deal. Shot by French fashion photographer Karim Sadli, whose clients include Balmain, Chanel, Givenchy and Azzedine Alaïa, Depp is pictured semi-concealed by the No°5 L’EAU bottle (see below). “Thank you so much to the entire chanel team for this incredible honor!!” she said on Instagram. Speaking of Depp earlier this year, the house said she “embodies her generation and its values of freedom and boldness to perfection, bringing to the iconic fragrance of the house her youthful freshness and beauty.” But there’s much more to Depp than her modelling work – this year will see the release of three films starring the young actor: Yoga Hosers, The Dancer (in which she’ll feature alongside Dazed’s autumn 2016 cover star, Soko) and Planetarium.
