Slated for AW16, the campaign will be directed by Johan Renck, who has created ads for Calvin Klein, Givenchy and Valentino among others. This isn’t Depp’s Chanel debut, however – she was also selected as the face of the house’s Pearl eyewear collection, revealed in July of last year. She also starred in Chanel’s casino-themed AW16 haute couture show, playing roulette alongside Kristen Stewart and Julianne Moore. According to the house, the 16-year-old star “embodies her generation and its values of freedom and boldness to perfection, bringing to the iconic fragrance of the house her youthful freshness and beauty.” Of course, she has Chanel running in her veins – her mother Vanessa Paradis, who is also an actress and model, has been a spokesmodel for the house since 1991. Aside from modelling for Chanel, Depp is spending a lot of time acting. In fact, she has three films coming out this year: Yoga Hosers (in which she stars alongside her father, Jonny) directed by Kevin Smith, Planetarium directed by Rebecca Zlotowski, and The Dancer directed by Stéphanie Di Giusto.
