Entitled 'Emporio Armani Remix', the collection launched in Milan’s fashion boutique Antonia this weekend in the run-up to the label’s SS17 menswear show, due to be staged later today. The delivery boys’ influence on the range doesn’t end with the backpacks; the collection also includes trainers with reflective details and turtle backpack helmet cases and even a custom-made bike created in collaboration with the Polytechnic University of Milan. It’s a collection designed for contemporary living. But this sense of modernism has been felt elsewhere in the brand – earlier this year, the label ended its use of animal fur across all lines. “Technological progress made over the years allows us to have valid alternatives at our disposition that render the use of cruel practices unnecessary as regards animals,” the brand’s founder, Giorgio Armani, explained.
