We’ve been witness to Prada’s cinematic tribute to the high seas, Raf Simons and his first post-Dior collection, and Yohji Yamamoto’s political “Corporate Mother Fuckers” statement – but what about the models? Since being photographed for Dazed’s Winter issue, Paul Hameline has gone on to walk for the likes of Kenzo and Haider Ackermann, whereas Elijah at Tomorrow is Another Day made his debut at J.W. Anderson and quickly went on to become one of AW16’s biggest breakout stars. Miuccia Prada also reinforced her influence on the industry, casting exclusives Leoplod Gaubet and Otto Vaïnaste, among others – both of whom subsequently went on to walk for Dior Homme. Aliou Drame and Montell Martin were also prominent on the runway, with Drame walking for the likes of Dries Van Noten and Burberry and Montell Martin landing the coveted position of closing look at Raf Simons’ highly-anticipated showing. To round off the season, we asked Dazed casting director Noah Shelley to single out AW16’s breakout stars – take a look at the gallery above for the names you need to keep an eye on.
