PPP take Art BaselDrake on the decks, FKA twigs in the crowd and A$AP Rocky hanging by the pool – get an intimate look at the week’s best parties in an exclusive filmShareLink copied ✔️December 18, 2014FashionIncomingTextJamie WatersFilmDexter NavyPhotographyDexter NavyPPP Mansion PPP come into their own once the sun goes down. Rooted in Paris’ legendary red-light district, the group are the creators of cutting-edge streetwear brand Pigalle, art collective Pain O choKolat and nightclub Le Pompon. At this year’s Art Basel Miami, they brought the 9th arrondisement’s smoky clubs to the thriving Miami party scene. After days spent soaking up the rays and checking out some of the renowned fair’s most exciting visual culture – from Miley Cyrus’s eccentric sculptures (yep, she’s an artist now) to Jon Rafman’s adventures in virtual reality – members of the art, music and fashion worlds made their way to the PPP mansion. Aptly signposted by pink lights – matched by the dressing gowns of its residents – a slew of rappers and DJs of note took the decks to entertain an equally-illustrious crowd. Thursday night saw FKA twigs’ USA TOUR after party (after a performance at the nearby YoungArts event), whilst grime legend Skepta and NYC’s Princess Nokia provided the soundtrack to the Theophilus London VIBES! Pool Party on Friday. Saturday was a real collision of industries, as Drake, fresh from the launch of his new headphones, manned the turntables – inspiring Jourdan Dunn and Chanel Iman to hit the dancefloor.
