The British Fashion Council's sponsorship division NEWGEN has announced who'll be receiving financial backing to help them through AW15. Ryan Lo, Marques'Almeida, 1205 and Ashley Williams make the grade again – after receiving funding for their SS15 runway shows, they'll get the same treatment again.
Claire Barrow, Danielle Romeril, Faustine Steinmetz, Molly Goddard, Marta Jakubowski and Sadie Williams will also all receive exhibition sponsorship from the Topshop-backed initiative.

Following in their footsteps is a whole new slew of discoveries whose sparky originality and careful entrepreneurialism have won them the praise of the NEWGEN committee and TOPSHOP's invaluable sponsorship. We think the quality, colour and sheer desirability of the clothes audiences will be seeing from 1205, Ashley Williams, Claire Barrow, Danielle Romeril, Faustine Steinmetz and Ryan Lo will step up yet another rung this season. And now they're joined by an influx of three brilliantly individualistic young women, Molly Goddard, Marta Jakubowski and Sadie Williams".
For three of the winners, it's a first time. Molly Goddard is a relatively new talent, a CSM graduate who made waves at SS15 with her delicate, pink party dresses. Marta Jakubowski's stark, minimalist work is simple but stunning in its execution and Sadie Williams' sparkle caught our attention last May. What these three newcomers go on to do will be fascinating, considering the sustained success that the other winners have gone on to enjoy.
