Alongside regular Hollywood action stars like Tom Hardy and Will Smith, there's one surprising addition to the list: Cara Delevingne, last seen picking up her Model of the Year award at the British Fashion Awards and walking in Tuesday's Chanel Métiers d'Art show. The 22-year-old model will play the magical villain Enchantress alongside Hardy, Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto, who plays the Joker. The film is slated for an August 2016 release. According to Variety, the movie "centers on the team of super villains who are given a chance at redemption by the government. The catch: Their mission will probably kill them all". Delevingne's character, as explained by Wikipedia: "Freelance artist June Moone is invited to a costume party at an old castle, and stumbles upon a secret chamber where an unknown magical being empowers her to fight an evil presence in the castle. Saying the words 'The Enchantress' her appearance changes from blond-haired June to black-haired and costumed Enchantress and defeats a minotaur creature from a tapestry." Cool, so, a totally regular and pedestrian everyday role. Fury director and scriptwriter David Ayer is set to direct. This is probably Delevingne's biggest Hollywood casting after the announcement of her role in Fault In Our Stars writer John Greens' adaptation of Paper Towns. She is also set to appear in four other films next year: Tulip Fever, London Fields, Kids In Love and Pan. In the meantime, Delevingne has been stretching her acting muscles for Karl Lagerfeld in Reincarnation, the seven-minute short film that premiered to accompany the Métiers d'Art collection.
