Launch your own magazine, of course. Louis Vuitton has announced its move into publishing with the October launch of a biannual, in-house glossy magazine simple titled The Book. The debut issue clocks in at a respectable 126 pages and features Nicolas Ghesquière's longtime muse, Charlotte Gainsbourg, on the cover. The French actress was also tapped by Ghesquière to star in his inaugural Vuitton campaign for AW14. There's also a nod to Marc Jacobs' reign as creative director – venerable French actress Catherine Deneuve, who starred in Jacobs' last ever campaign, is one of The Book's first interviewees. Magazine fans shouldn't hold their breath for The Book to hit a newsstand near them. The glossy will be translated into 11 languages and mailed only to select Vuitton customers. The lucky recipients can also expect to see a menswear shoot in Iceland by Peter Lindbergh, Juergen Teller’s backstage shots from the Cruise 2015 show and personal commentary from Ghesquière on his debut collection.
