For his first Louis Vuitton campaign, the designer enlisted a stellar line-up of iconic photographers including Annie Leibovitz, Bruce Weber, and Juergen Teller. The autumn/winter campaign, which he has dubbed Series 1, stars Ghesquière’s longtime muse, Charlotte Gainsbourg, as well as Liya Kedebe, Freja Beha Erichsen, and Jean Campbell. This isn't the first time Teller has shot for Ghesquière; the German photographer shot Vuitton's recent lookbook and its resort collection. The three photographers were reportedly given free rein to interpret the brief of "classic beauty meeting creative innovation". Teller, Leibovitz and Weber couldn't have more different aesthetics, but their images seem to share an eerie coherence when refracted through Ghesquière’s AW14 vision.
