Peter Dundas goes psychedelic – but it's more Coachella-goer than Woodstock groupie, and even Naomi puts in an appearanceShareLink copied ✔️September 20, 2014FashionShowPhotography Lea Colombo Text Susie Lau Emilio Pucci SS15 Initial reaction: The late 60s and 70s have been floating around Milan but it seems natural that Pucci, a label born in that time period, should take to it so effervescently with wavy hair and a insouciant mood. Hippy! Happy! Carefree! Those were the key words for creative director Peter Dundas as psychedelic prints, tie dye chiffon and crafty crochet mixed with intricate beadwork give the modern Pucci girl a wardrobe fit for the Coachella desert goer as opposed to the Woodstock groupie. Sharp tailoring and 60s A-line jackets with giant cabochon buttons ensured that this girl isn't just here to get hippy-dippy. Model behaviour: Last season, it was Eva Herzigova. This season Naomi Campbell strutted out in a maxi dress with a metal halter neck clasp. Such is the level of BFF that she is with Dunda, that she didn't need to open or close the show. Naomi was merely present and correct. Stand out pieces: Craftwork is abounding this season with Prada setting the tone. Pucci followed up though, with intricate cut crystal and bead embroidery that mirrored the label’s print complexity. Escape the algorithm!
