FashionShowJil Sander SS15Baggy boyband-style trousers make an unexpected comeback amongst boxy shirts and chunky sandalsShareLink copied ✔️June 22, 2014FashionShowTextSusanne MadsenJil Sander SS15 Initial reaction: The return of 90s-boyband-worthy baggy trousers, given a new lease of life in combination with three-button blazers and clean-cut knits. If it ain’t broke…: Modern minimalism just is Jil Sander, with SS15 proving to be no exception. Boxy shirts and polos – sharp zips replacing buttons, which, where present, were always done up to the top – were worn with shorts and slacks in muted shades, creating looks that were youthful, sporty and perfectly put together. Details like ruffled waistbands added an unexpected flutter of waves to otherwise clean lines, whilst subtle stripes down trouser legs helped streamline roomy silhouettes. How it was worn: With chunky strap sandals and black knit socks, pulled high up the calf – declaring the once-loathed combo a faux pas of the past. Accessories like belts and bags were pared down and square-edged. Last season saw Jil Sander opt for a darker palette, with shimmering tailoring and oil-slick shoes.
