Unlike the usual chaos that manifests itself in the final build up to a fashion show, Julien Pujol’s new film, captured backstage at the Hermes SS14, reflects an almost otherworldly calm. “When they let me in, everyone was already dressed and the sense of usual chaos was gone,” he explains. “I wanted to be really close to the models and capture a more sincere expression, to try and find something more truthful in the face rather than having them pose. Even when I shot the models on the runway, it felt more like a casual walk on the street...” Set inside a Parisian courtyard, the film captures the bohemian spirit and effortlessness of Hermes’ new SS14 collection.
