It’s no secret that landing a job in a creative field can be difficult. Any college graduate who spent years studying their passion knows there comes a point when, after the excitement of leaving school has faded and the panic of the future settles in, the inevitable question emerges: what now?

That question is the guiding force behind What Now?, a free career workshop for students, recent graduates and anyone who’s looking to make a career change (even if you haven’t gone to school or had access to traditional education). Hosted by the Sarabande Foundation, a London-based organisation that provides scholarships, mentoring and subsidised studio space for artists and designers, What Now? is a chance for emerging creatives to connect with industry mentors and gain meaningful insight as they navigate the next chapter of their career.

On May 8, 2026, the series will host its third edition at The Standard, High Line in New York City, where employees from brands like Marc Jacobs, Khaite and even Dazed Media will be present to offer free career advice to attendees. Along with the one-on-one conversations with industry experts, guests will leave the workshop with a digital “Aid Pack” with more career resources, including portfolio tips and further career advice.

If you’re a rising designer, writer, photographer, or anyone looking to break into the creative world, be sure to mark your calendar for May 8 and reserve your spot for the event by signing up here.
